The Sea

If I were the sea,
I'd dance with you.
I'd spin you around
'Til your dizziness was joy
And you didn't know the way to the shore.

If I were the sea,
I'd touch you.
My ripples would tickle,
My waves would caress,
And the wind would play with your hair.

If I were the sea,
I'd hold you.
My current would lead you
To my innermost center,
Where I would quietly envelop you in blue.

Inspired by a poem by Joe Edelman.
